What DirtyRoulette collects when you use it, what it deliberately does not, and the choices you have — in plain English.
Worth knowing first: the biggest privacy risk on any video chat site is not a database — it is what you show the stranger on the other side, which they can capture with a second device no matter what any platform does. The Safety Center is the practical companion to this page.
1. What this policy covers
This policy applies to the DirtyRoulette website and product. Third parties that keep the service running — hosting, content delivery, analytics, payment processing — handle data under their own policies. Sites we link to are their own business and are not covered here.
2. What we collect
What you hand us
Account details if you register, purchase information if you buy coins, and whatever you include when you write to support or file a report. You can try the site as a guest without handing over any of it.
What the browser tells us
The technical exhaust any website produces: device and browser type, IP address, approximate location inferred from it, pages viewed, features used, and diagnostics when something breaks. This is what keeps matching fast and bugs findable.
Camera and microphone
Your browser asks permission before your camera or microphone turns on, and granting it is always your choice. Live video and audio go to the person you are matched with, for the length of that conversation.
3. What we deliberately do not do
- We do not record private chats. One-to-one video conversations are not recorded by the platform.
- We do not store chat logs. What is said in a private chat is not kept as a transcript.
- We do not sell personal data. Your information is not a product, and it is not sold to anyone.
The honest flip side: once another person can see or hear you, no setting on earth can stop them from capturing their own screen. That is why the advice everywhere on this site is to share gradually — a habit, not a switch we can flip for you.
4. Cookies and local storage
DirtyRoulette keeps a small number of things in your browser so the site works the way you left it: your age-gate confirmation, so you are not asked on every visit, and the local ledger behind your free matches and coin balance, so the numbers stay consistent between sessions.
You can clear or block these in your browser at any time. Clearing them resets what the site remembers about you — including the age confirmation, which you will simply be asked again.
5. Third parties that touch data
Running a live video product takes infrastructure we do not own: content delivery networks that move video fast, analytics that tell us which pages confuse people, and payment processors when you buy coins. Each handles data under its own obligations, and each gets only what its job requires — a payment processor sees the payment, not your chats.
6. Your choices
- Stay a guest. Trying the site needs no account and no email address.
- Control the camera. Grant or revoke camera and microphone permission in your browser whenever you like.
- Clear storage. Wiping cookies and site data resets what is remembered locally.
- Block and report. Stop a specific person from reaching you, and flag what moderation should see.
- Ask us. Access, correction or deletion of your data — request any of these when you contact our support team. We may verify you are the account holder first; that check exists so nobody else can request your data.
7. How data is protected
We take measures intended to protect data against unauthorised access, loss and misuse. Being straight rather than soothing: no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and anyone who claims otherwise is overselling. Your side of the job is a strong unique password and never sharing verification codes — with anyone, including someone claiming to be us.
8. Minors
DirtyRoulette is an adults-only community, as set out in the Terms of Service, and it is not directed at children. If you believe a minor is using the platform, report it so the session or account can be reviewed and removed.
9. Changes to this policy
This policy changes as the product does. Where a change matters, we will make reasonable efforts to make it visible, and continuing to use DirtyRoulette after an update means accepting the updated policy.
