DirtyRoulette Community Guidelines: The Rules That Keep It Fun

DirtyRoulette rules — the short version

Everything on this page comes down to three ideas. The DirtyRoulette rules exist so that a stranger popping up on your screen is a good surprise, not a bad one — the same spirit behind the tools in the Safety Center.

• Real people only. Be yourself. No bots, no fake identities, no pretending to be staff.
• Respect is the entry fee. The person on the other side is a person. Treat them like one, especially when you are about to skip.
• Adults only. This is an adults-only community, full stop. If you suspect someone is underage, end the chat and report it.

What is not allowed

Here is the line, drawn clearly. Cross it and you can lose access — the Terms of Service make these rules part of the agreement you accept by using the site.

• Minors. Anyone under the age of majority, or anyone claiming to be. Zero tolerance, no second chances.
• Harassment and hate. Abusing, degrading or threatening someone — including for how they look or where they are from.
• Pressure and coercion. Pushing anyone to do something they declined, or continuing contact after being asked to stop.
• Recording or sharing others. Capturing, screenshotting or redistributing another person’s video or images without their permission.
• Money asks. Requesting cash, gift cards, crypto or any external payment — including sob stories designed to get one.
• Spam and scams. Advertising, link-dropping, phishing, or sending people to fake verification pages.
• Anything illegal. If it breaks the law where you are, it breaks the rules here.

One thing that is always allowed: leaving. Next, ending a chat and keeping your camera off are normal use, and nobody owes an explanation for any of them.

How rule enforcement works

It starts with a report. Every chat has a report control, and reporting takes one tap — pick a reason, add a line of context if you want, done. Moderation reviews reports with the available context, alongside automated systems that watch for bots, spam and repeat offenders.

Depending on what a review finds, the response ranges from a warning to a permanent ban, and serious cases can be referred to the appropriate authorities. Being straight about the limits: no platform catches everything, and we will not pretend otherwise. Reports are a huge part of how problems surface at all — which is exactly why honest reporting matters, and why false reports waste the same system that protects you.

If you disagree with a decision

Think a moderation call got it wrong — including one about your own account? You can ask for a second look. Contact support, explain what happened and include any detail that helps the team re-check the context.

One honest note: support cannot tell you what action was taken on someone else’s account. That privacy runs both ways — it protects you the day someone reports you by mistake.

Appeals work best with specifics. "I was banned unfairly" gives the team nothing to check; the time of the chat, what was said and what you were doing gives them everything. Most honest mistakes are exactly that, and a clear account of the situation is usually enough to spot one.
